Kim and Jono did everything their way. Their venue was held in their own backyard, decorated with fairy lights and lanterns that they painstakingly hung up themselves. The handmade stage on which they had their ceremony doubled as their dancefloor. Kim handmade one-of-a-kind dresses for each of her bridesmaids. Not to mention their very own custom cocktail bar, fire pits, a s’mores station, and a wedding cake pinata (literally a cake smash). They poured their love and effort into this DIY backyard wedding, and it made it one of the best, unique weddings I’ve attended.
Alex and Mitch’s wedding had it all: a Kooroomba Lavender Farm wedding (one of Brisbane’s best country wedding venues), a private helicopter ride for the bride, and a stunning fireworks display to end the night.
If you’re planning a wedding in Toowoomba, there isn’t anything like having a Gabbinbar Homestead wedding. It’s an absolutely beautiful venue and as a wedding photographer, it makes my job so much easier.
There’s a popular Maleny wedding venue that’s nice and fancy, all done up and neatly packaged for you. If that’s the way you want your wedding, that’s perfectly fine. But for Emily and Eloise, they preferred something more personal, more relaxed, and more ‘them’.
Paris, the city of love. The home of the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the world’s best pastries, and a smooth accent. A Paris wedding is something everybody dreams of. Paris is beautiful city, there’s no doubt about it. But there’s also the bad: the scams, the pickpockets, the endless smoking, and huge crowds. It’s easy to romanticise Paris – only to be disappointed that it’s not the perfect city you’ve always dreamed of.
Kim and Jonathan are a couple full of love and not afraid to flaunt it. They’re patient and gentle towards each other, and they’re damn cute in front of the camera.
When I think about it, Dan was one of the people who convinced me to go into full-time photography. Saying that he’s never afraid to speak his mind would be an understatement, and Dan telling me more or less to “just do it” probably did its part in me being where I am today. Thanks Dan!
On the other side, there’s Parina. Always sweet, kind and caring, like a mother to everyone, and probably the only person who could put up with Dan for a lifetime!

Let’s face it, when you’re a photographer who mainly shoots couples, you’re pretty much a professional third wheel. I’m fine with that, and I feel that most of the couples that I work with are fine with it too. But sometimes it goes beyond third wheeling, and it becomes a few friends hanging out. It’s hour long car trips with no awkward silences or forced conversations. It’s deep chats about how satisfied you are with work and what your life goals are. And it’s laughing along with Melvin’s strong refusal to share food, and being super surprised when he lets you try the new dessert you’ve introduced them to.
